Dear Chris, Well done to you and all your staff for a brilliant sports day yesterday. I was tired just being a spectator... but you were on your feet all day and it looked so complicated getting all the children moving around all the activities in a limited space and so perfectly timed. Looked like an organisational nightmare to me but you pulled it off brilliantly! I'm sure you're all looking forward to a well deserved, restful summer. Regards

Hi - please could school clarify whether jojo bows are allowed? I see a lot of girls wearing them, but other teachers are not allowing them. It would be really helpful if policy could be clarified please. Thank you REPLY - Apologies for slight delay but the system had a fault. The girls can currently wear the jojo bows but they would need to remove them for PE and other such activities. Kind regards. Chris Perry (Headteacher)

Dear Mr Perry, I was in church yesterday for Brian Young's thanksgiving service and I wanted to let you know how beautifully your school choir sang I watch the sunrise. I had never heard this hymn before. The words were so clear and the melody just right. Please pass on my congratulations to the children and the teachers. It would make a lovely cd for school funds, or even dare I say, the spire fund! Thank you for letting us hear your children's voices. I'm sure Brian would have been singing along. With kindest regards, Anne Aspinall. REPLY - I would like to offer my sincere thanks to you for taking the time to let me know how much you enjoyed listening to our children sing at Brian's Service. I will certainly share your message with the children and staff. I am absolutely sure that they will be thrilled to read it too. Agree - a joint CD of all the choirs would be an excellent idea! Kind regards Chris Perry (Headteacher)

Just a quick note to say a big thank you to all the teachers, helpers and parents who took the children to the pantomime last week. We realise that these trips take a lot of planning and organising although the staff make it look easy. It sounds like the children all had a fantastic time and I am still hearing all about it now! Hope the adults enjoyed it too. Happy Christmas to everyone at the school. REPLY Many thanks for your message. It is great to know how much this trip was appreciated. Your message is very important to all who helped whether before, during or after such a massive event. Kind regards Chris Perry (Headteacher)

We would just like to say how pleased we are with JayRaj's report and progress. We have seen Jayraj grow with confidence over the past yr and we are thankful to Miss Platt and the teaching assistants for their hard work and passion. We watched the play as proud parents but did not have time to congratulate Miss Platt on how beautifully the play was choreographed. The costumes were lovely and watching Jayraj act and sing his heart out showed how much he enjoyed it. During the past year we experienced some trying times and during our difficulties Miss Platt was understanding and accommodating. The support we received was second to none and was greatly appreciated. She's an absolute asset to the school and it saddens me that Jayraj won't be taught by her next year but also pleased she's given him a concrete foundation to build on. Sophie Jagatia REPLY - Many thanks for your message. It is good to know how pleased you are with Jayraj's first year in school. Kind regards, Mr Perry

Thank you very much for an extremely well informed assessment evening on Thursday 25th June. I clearly took from this, that there was a massive amount of time spent researching the new curriculum and many hours spent putting it effortlessly into practice, with the children mostly being unaware of such a big change. The transition into the new curriculum which supports the children having underpinning knowledge of every specific area before they move on, as well as giving them a broad well rounded view of the world, inevitably leads to a properly educated child as an outcome which, in my opinion is fantastic! My children truely love coming to school and appreciate learning, where they feel relaxed, supported and challenged as an individual. As parents, we could not ask for more. Many warm thanks to Mr Perry and all the staff there. Katy Wootton REPLY - We are so pleased that you found the assessment information evening was so useful.. Your comments are really helpful. All comments are taken seriously and help shape the future of our school. Kind regards, Mr Perry
